Who and what this policy covers
This policy applies to personal information we collect through:
- pinnacleinnovativefinancialservices.com (the “Site”), including the contact form on it; and
- emails, calls, and other business dealings with you that begin through the Site.
We work primarily with financial professionals and firms, including independent advisors, registered investment advisers (RIAs), broker-dealers, banks, credit unions, and other financial institutions (“Financial Professionals”).
The Site is an information site. We do not offer insurance, securities, or advisory services through it, and we do not accept applications, quote requests, or client account information through it.
This policy does not cover websites operated by other companies, even if they link to or from the Site. It also does not cover our subsidiaries’ websites, described below.
Our subsidiaries
PIFS is the parent company of four subsidiaries. Each operates its own website and maintains its own privacy policy:
- Pinnacle Insurance & Financial Services, LLC, doing business as The Pinnacle Group: life insurance, annuities, and advanced planning services (pinnacleifs.com).
- ClientGen, LLC: AI-powered lead generation tools for advisors (clientgen.ai).
- RIA VA Solutions, LLC: variable annuity solutions for RIAs and breakaway advisors (riavasolutions.com).
- Finspire Creative, LLC: marketing and creative services for financial firms (finspirecreative.com).
When you leave the Site for a subsidiary’s website, that subsidiary’s privacy policy applies to what you do there. PIFS does not collect information through those websites.
Information we collect
What we collect depends on how you interact with us. We collect information you give us directly and information collected automatically when you use the Site.
Information you provide
- Contact form submissions. Your name, email address, company or firm, role in the industry, the services you are interested in, and your message.
- Emails and calls. Any information you choose to share when you email or speak with our team.
Please do not include Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, medical or health information, or other detailed sensitive information in the contact form or in emails to us. We do not need it to respond to your inquiry.
Information collected automatically
When you visit the Site, we and our service providers automatically collect certain information, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, the pages you view, the website that referred you, and the date, time, and length of your visit. See Cookies, analytics, and similar technologies below.
How we use personal information
We use personal information to:
- respond to your questions and requests;
- route your inquiry to the PIFS subsidiary best able to help you;
- contact you by email and phone about the products and services you asked about;
- send Financial Professionals and firms information about our services, events, and resources, where permitted by law;
- understand how the Site is used so we can improve it;
- operate and secure the Site, and detect and prevent spam, fraud, and security incidents;
- comply with legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations, and protect our rights and the rights of others; and
- evaluate or complete a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of all or part of our business.
How we share personal information
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising. We share personal information only as described below.
- Our subsidiaries. The Site exists to connect you with the right team, so we share contact form submissions and related business contact information with the subsidiary that can help you: The Pinnacle Group, ClientGen, RIA VA Solutions, or Finspire Creative. Each subsidiary may then contact you about its own services, and handles your information under its own privacy policy from that point.
- Service providers. We share information with companies that perform services for us, such as website hosting, security and performance, email delivery, customer relationship management, marketing email platforms, analytics, and spam protection. Our service providers may use the information only to perform services for us.
- Legal and regulatory disclosures. We may disclose information when we believe it is required by law, regulation, subpoena, court order, or a request from a government or regulatory authority, or when needed to protect the rights, property, or safety of PIFS, our subsidiaries, our clients, or others.
- Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.
- With your consent. We may share information for other purposes with your consent or at your direction.
Cookies, analytics, and similar technologies
The Site uses cookies, scripts, and similar technologies to operate properly, keep the Site secure, and understand how visitors use it. These include:
- Analytics. We use Google Analytics and Cloudflare Web Analytics to measure traffic and understand which pages are useful.
- Security and spam prevention. We use Cloudflare Turnstile on our forms to tell people apart from automated bots. Cloudflare, which also helps deliver and protect the Site, sets a short-lived cookie for the same purpose.
- Embedded content and third-party services. The Site loads fonts from Google Fonts. Google receives your IP address and basic browser information when the fonts load.
You can set your browser to block or delete cookies, or to alert you when cookies are being set. If you do, some parts of the Site may not work properly. You can learn how Google uses data from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and you can opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s browser add-on.
Because we do not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising, browser signals such as Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track do not change how we handle your information. We will update this policy if that changes.
Communications from us
If you ask us about a product or service, a member of our team or a subsidiary’s team may contact you by email or phone about your request. Financial Professionals and firms may also receive emails from us about our services, events, and resources.
Every marketing email we send includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time by using it or by contacting us at the email address below. Even if you opt out of marketing emails, we may still send messages about a pending request or other business matters. To stop phone calls, tell the team member who calls you or contact us, and we will add you to our internal do-not-contact list.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Know and access. Ask what personal information we have collected about you, where it came from, why we collected it, and who we shared it with, and get a copy of it.
- Correct. Ask us to correct inaccurate personal information.
- Delete. Ask us to delete personal information we collected from you, subject to legal exceptions.
- Portability. Receive your personal information in a portable, commonly used format.
- Opt out. Opt out of the sale of personal information, targeted advertising, and certain profiling. We do not engage in these activities.
- Limit use of sensitive information. Limit our use of sensitive personal information. We do not ask for it through the Site.
- Appeal. Appeal our decision if we decline your request.
- Non-discrimination. Exercise your rights without being treated differently for doing so.
These rights are not absolute. Some information is exempt from state privacy laws, such as information covered by the federal Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act or by state insurance laws, and we may keep information we are legally required to retain.
How to submit a request
Email us at info@pinnacleifs.com with “Privacy Request” in the subject line, or call us toll-free at (800) 356-1167. Tell us which right you want to exercise and how we can reach you. We will respond within 45 days, or sooner if applicable law requires. Requests about information held by one of our subsidiaries may need to be sent to that subsidiary. We will tell you if that applies.
Verifying your identity
To protect your information, we will verify your identity before completing a request. We may ask you to confirm information we already have on file. If we cannot verify your identity, we may be unable to complete your request.
Authorized agents
You may use an authorized agent to submit a request for you. We will require signed written permission from you, and we may ask you to verify your identity directly with us, unless the agent holds a valid power of attorney.
Appeals
If we decline your request, you may appeal by emailing info@pinnacleifs.com with “Privacy Appeal” in the subject line. Include a brief description of your original request and our response. If you disagree with the outcome of your appeal, you may contact your state attorney general.
How long we keep information
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy. To decide how long to keep it, we consider:
- whether we have a legal, regulatory, or contractual obligation to keep it, including financial industry record-keeping requirements;
- whether we need it to respond to your request or to provide services; and
- whether you would reasonably expect us to keep it, for example while you have an active relationship with us.
When we no longer need personal information, we delete it or de-identify it. If that is not immediately possible, for example because it is stored in backups, we securely store it and stop using it until it can be deleted.
How we protect information
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, use, and disclosure. The Site is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Information you submit through our contact form, such as your name, email address, company, role, and message, is delivered to us by email and stored on the Site and on our website hosting provider’s servers. Access to it is limited to the people who need it to do their work. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we regularly review our practices to keep your information protected.
Children's privacy
The Site and our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has given us personal information through the Site, contact us and we will delete it as required by law.
United States only
We work only with Financial Professionals and consumers in the United States. The Site is intended for people in the United States, and we do not direct it to people in other countries.
Links to other websites
The Site links to websites operated by other companies, including our subsidiaries. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those websites, and we encourage you to read their privacy policies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated policy on this page and change the effective date at the top. If we make material changes, we will take additional steps to notify you as required by law.
